His musical background includes Indian Classical, Western Classical, jazz & fusion musics. He offers workshops in Indian Music for all ages & abilities. Mohamed's workshops are tailor-made depending on your requirements, but can include any of the following: - demonstration / presentation to the whole school or group of sitar and tabla - interactive, participatory workshop sessions with smaller groups that include an introduction to Indian music, fun games, Indian rhythmic exercises, melodic activities, question time, etc. These activities all involve the participants directly in music-making. - Indian music onto Western instruments - Composition work with GCSE & A-level students or above - Working with ensembles - Workshops in how to take Indian music into the classroom for music teachers in training (PGCE). Mohamed has two music degrees and is also a qualified teacher. He is a professional sitarist & tabla player and regularly performs across the country.
